Bakes On Mesh [BOM] info

What is BOM?
BOM or Bakes On Mesh is a feature that allows different layers to be sampled on the mesh body parts that are set for Bakes On Mesh. Each layer type in the system (skin, tattoo, clothing, alphas, eyes, etc.) when worn, is applied to your body part or mesh head just like in classic avatars.

What are the benefits of BOM?
You will be able to use up to 62 layers at a time that will be baked on the skin layer of your body or mesh head. That means you can, for example, wear multiple layers of makeup or layer your clothes.

The BOM textures quality will be the same as the applicator ones.

The best thing is that, since you no longer need “onion layers” in the body or head mesh, the loading/rendering cost is lower = less lag!

To use BOM layers correctly, it is very important to start from the “bottom”: your skin needs to be BOM layer to be able to overlap the following ones (clothes, makeup, eyes, etc.) if you use an applier skin you won’t be able to see any BOM layer.
