About Me…

…and .:TheBeautifulOnes:. and the person behind the screen.

Since I was little, I liked to make clothes for my dolls. I did it with everything: paper, fabrics, plastics… Also combed them, but allow me not to tell the sad story of when I cut my Barbie’s hair waiting for it to grow again… Anyway, blessed innocence.

When I was a bit older, I learned to draw the human body and painted figurines and more figurines with different models. At first, I drew princesses in voluminous dresses, but I grew up and started drawing other styles. I was even inspired by different world music to create different designs.

Well, I NEVER stopped drawing princesses.

When I came to Second Life, many years ago, they told me that within that virtual world I could create things. Among others, my own fashion. The idea excited me and I learned what was necessary. I watched a lot of tutorials and did a lot of trial and error until I started coming up with decent t-shirts. Do you remember the layer system?
It was wonderful!
And the best thing is that it has come back improved with the BoM system.

My first day in Second Life

I set up my first store with a partner. The idea was to make funny t-shirts, but the truth is that we were more aware of our virtual life than business. As you can imagine, the company dissolved. Later, I set up another store, this time by myself.

I and my first partner sitting in our very first store.

Perhaps someone who has known me for a long time will remember D’Sastre Clothing. I do it with a lot of love.
I learned a lot at that stage, but everything has an end, and D’Sastre’s was the mesh.
I was paralyzed, creatively speaking. I did not know the material or the way of working.
I resisted for a while, while layered clothing and mesh coexisted, but this new material ended up imposing itself and everything I knew was useless. And I just stopped doing stuff for about a year.

2012 arrived and, since the world didn’t end, I dared with meshes.
I relearned a whole new work system. Understanding the standard sizes and how the things work… But all that no longer represent D’Sastre. At that moment I decided to change the name of the store, the image and the operation.

Logos over the time…

I remember at that time I was with two friends and the scene was like: “Girls, I just did my first mesh, what do you think?”
Since then, I have learned a lot along the way, and every day I learn a new technique.

But above all, regardless of the technique that I work on, what never changes is that I let my imagination flow and my love pour into each of my designs.

A little anecdote: the name of the store is due to a song by Suede:
The Beautiful Ones
Now I will make a small confession: looking back, perhaps I should have chosen a shorter name and, it is possible, that I will soon start a new brand when I finish learning and manage Blender.

If you’ve read this far, I appreciate it.
If there is any mistake, I apologize. It is known that English is not my native language (I am from Barcelona) and for long texts, like this one, I use Google Translate.
